Are You Cookin' with V8 Power?
This is the coolest thing i've ever seen!
sweet jebus that is awesome!
omg that is the coolest grill ever!!!! , perfect for gearheads like me!!
Thats really cool, but do you have a way to keep the inside the grill? With the headers and the air cleaner, lots of heat has to be escaping.
Truly awesome!! How did you cut the metal out of the block? Are you taking purchace orders, and if so, where do I send the money? I figure if I have to ask the price, I couldnt afford it.
"With the headers and the air cleaner, lots of heat has to be escaping"There may be some heat loss but with the cast iron block the heat retention is very good, not like your regular aluminum or stainless grill. It will heat to 400 in about 5 minutes and 2 hours after you shut it off it's still at 200 so even with the heat loss through the headers it's not much, besides I need the headers to breathe so I can use them as afterburners or a quick marshmallow cooker.Trent
Chuey said... "I figure if I have to ask the price, I couldnt afford it"Well Chuey, let’s just say she is not the cheapest of BBQ’s to build, after all she is constructed mainly of automotive parts and we all know what a new engine costs. www.v8-grill.com
That's one bad ass grill. Cleverest thing in grilling products I seen for a for a long time.
Are those cast iron or aluminum heads?
Thet are factory cast iron with a few modifications to lighten them up so you can lift the lid easier. The complete lid only weighs about 50#
No "Webers?" Just joking........That is a real work of art and it won't be long before someone steals the idea and starts cranking them out by the 1,000s, raking in the $$$. Might as well be you, right?
I bet George Forman is jealous! :)Mark
That is the coolest grill i have ever seen. How about if you put the intake valves back in to keep the smoke out of the carb.? Heck, maybe even install the exhaust valves so you can crank open each row to adjust the heat and smoke. Throw in extra wood chips to prove it's a chevy :-)Put on a hi-rise intake, hollow it out underneath so you have the clearance to use the camshaft as a rotisserie. Wow, imagine the options!
When I first saw this, I was struck by the genius of it! What an amazing piece of work! That's it ...I HAVE to win the Lottery now JUST so I can have you build one for me!!! Outstanding!!!
Very awesomeJust an idea, for your propane tank, either paint it or get a seamstress to make a cover and make it look like NOS bottle...
i just built one too i love it, you have got the right idea with the nos bottle i painted mine blue and got a copy of a nos label its hot
My husband and I just received an e-mail with photos of your grill. I then did an online search for your site. That is the most awesome grill we have ever seen! The Mister is already making plans to construct one for us! Pure genius!!~Andrea, TX
